Virginia's Northern Neck, "the Garden of Virginia", serves again as the host for the 5th Annual Northern Neck RiverRide.

Join with nearly 800 other cycling enthusiasts on a tour of this special and unique peninsula located between the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers.

The Northern Neck RiverRide is a family friendly event. Make a weekend of it with Friday and Saturday night camping on beautiful Indian Creek, or rent a cabin at tent city. And for those of you that perfer a little more comfort, choose from our areas accommodations, such as a Resort Hotel, Motels and Award Winning B&Bs.

Mark Saturday, September 25th on your calendar and celebrate the conclusion of National Century Month with an English, Metric, One-Third Century or Family Route along the flat back roads of the Northern Neck.

2010 Kilmarnock Farmer's Market

THE KILMARNOCK FARMER'S MARKET is on the fourth Saturday of the month beginning May and running through October. It is open from 9AM to 1PM.

Plenty of parking, easy access and high visibility is at the corner of Town Centre Dr. and Main Street.

Bring the kids, the pets, spend the day in Downtown Kilmarnock!

Ride for the Red Poker Run (25 Sep 2010)

On the beautiful , historic Northern Neck. Benefiting the River Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross. Registration starts at 9:00 am at the Kilmarnock Farmer's Market, N. Main St. & Town Centre Drive (Rt. 3 in the heart of Kilmarnock). Group departure at 11:00 am for 75 mile ride through Lancaster, Richmond & Northumberland Counties. Ends at Savannah Joe's BBQ in Kilmarnock for Prizes & Beverages. Plus a BBQ Buffet for $7 per person. Music from 1-4 pm. Pre-registration at Ride for the Red (www.lancasterva.com). $15 per driver, $10 for additional rider. Ride registration day of event will be $20 per driver and $10 per additional rider. Includes complimentary commemorative beverage galss for 1st 140 registered. Gift & drawings from local dusniesses and restaurants plus 50/50 raffle.

Community Yard Sale to Benefit The Haven (2 Oct 2010)

Now is the time to clean out your attics, closets, and basements and bring all you "treasures" to make some extra spending money. Geet with your friends and obtain a space together or reserve spaces next to each other. Proceeds from the event willl benefit The Heaven in Warsaw. A '12 x '12 space cost $20.00. Multiple spaces may be obtained and there are no additonal feeds based on amount of sales. Non-profit organizations may obtain a space at " no cost" (additional spaces at $20). Tables may be rented for $5 each. Applications may be obtained at www.whitestoneumc.org - community yard work sale link, at White Stone Methodist Church M-F from 9 am - 12 noon or White Stone Thrift Shop Tues- Sat from 10 am - 3 pm. Come and shop to find that "must have item(s)". Lunch foods and bake sale items will be available during the yard sale. Rain date will be Sat., Oct 9 for more info, call 804-435-2385.
