Black History Program: Dr. Morgan E. Norris & Rual Medicine in the Northern Neck

Dr. James Norris will speak about and sign copies of his recent book, Fight On My Soul, a biography of his father Dr. Morgan E. Norris, who was a general practitioner in Lancaster and one of Virginia's first black physicians. He will discuss the history of rural healthcare in the Northern Neck and Morgan Norris' struggle to provide better conditions for his family and beloved patients. Books for sale at event or in advance from Mary Ball Washington Museum for $16.00. Free admission, but reservations requested to 462-7280 or history@mbwm.org and donations are welcome.
