The 4th annual Kilmarnock Wine Festival is back on Saturday, June 23rd , sponsored by the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce. Tickets can be purchased online at ww.lancasterva.com/events until June 20th and the Chamber office at 506 N. Main St., Kilmarnock. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate.
Admission covers wine tasting from vineyards of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail, a souvenir wine glass for the first 500 tickets holders and live entertainment under the festival tent. This year’s entertainment will include Billy Batte from 12 pm to 2 pm and Planet Full of Blues from 3 pm to 5 pm. Gates open at 11:00 am.
Some of the participating vineyards are Athena Vineyards & Winery, Belle Mount Vineyards, General's Ridge, Good Luck Cellars, Ingleside Vineyards, The Hague Winery, Oak Crest Vineyard, Saude' Creek Vineyards, and Vault Field Vineyards. Again this year the wine festival will also have some great vendors; Greek foods, Italian foods, cheeses, fresh breads and Virginia wine art.
Bring the family, chair or blanket and spend the day in Kilmarnock. No coolers please! Come early and visit the merchants along Main Street.
